Justin Chatwin Interview

To say the truth I am not quite fond of this interview with Justin Chatwin (Goku). It seems this guy does not realize how big Dragonball actually is. It's the most popular anime and cartoon on the planet and he's about to play the most important character in the movie! All I can do is pray "Please don't suck". I really wish this movie kicks ass. And I hope Justin's got more charisma while acting. Anyways, here's Justin's first interview.

If you look past all that, he shows Goku's personality with his nervousness and shyness, would Goku do good in a interview, think not...
a interview damn sure doesn't define someone's acting ability

First of all, I did not say anything regarding his acting skills. What hurt me was his lack of enthusiasm during the inverview. Just compare his interview with that of James Marsters. Also, Goku is not shy at all. He may be clumsy and at times too innocent but definetly never shy.

I think you're forgetting the fact that an actor's life can be very tiresome. if this wasn't shot right after he got out of the plaine, then it was shot in the middle of a work day. Ever tried sounding excited when you're fuckin tired? Guess not... Plus, I agree with enforcer, interview's tell you jack about someone's acting abbillity or how excited they are. most of the time when stars praise the movies they're it's all BS anyway...

I don't think this person is harping on Justin's acting skills, and he's/she's entitled to their opinion, no need to get so defensive about it. Though, I do not agree with a word of what this person says, I agree with the last comment full heartedly. I'm a big fan of Dragonball, for all that matters, and I didn't get a vibe like the one you got. I blatantly see that he's tired and exhausted, his eyes were droopy and he wasn't exactly having the best responses. If you're a fan, you have to apply Goku's character to the Goku in which Justin plays...it's strenuous and he does his own stunts as far as I remember so he's exhausted. Not to mention he couldn't understand what the interviewer was saying because she was speaking broken English. Give him a break, I don't think attacking him will make the movie better, you'll just have to see it. I'm pretty sure if he didn't get how big it was he wouldn't have taken the part. And it's really not the most popular anime, it's one of them. Once again that's your opinion. From what i've seen of the previews, Justin does an awesome job as Goku, though that's not saying much yet. He is a talented actor, I don't think this interview should even be jusged, let alone a judge of character, because it's so obvious he's tired.
